How much alcohol is too much?

As a single mum, I don't get to many outlets. Work, child, housework, trying to make ends meet, that's my life. Social invitations come but lack of funds, mostly have to let them go. Got to keep my priorities right. Imagine my excitement then when pay day arrives and I can afford a few drinks and just let all my worries become `whatever.'
Having been on my own for over 6 years, I have met and experienced many alcohol fused experiences both with myself and friends/family. So how do you know when drinking becomes a problem.
Accordinmg to South Pacific, you may have a problem if yo answer `yes' to these questions
Do you spend a lot of time thinking about alcohol?
Do you drink alone or in secret?
Do you engineer situations to accommodate your drinking?
Do you find you can drink others ‘under the table’ and need increasing amounts to get the same ‘high’?
Do you often feel shame or guilt about things you said or did while drinking?
Or do you suffer complete memory blackouts?
Do you keep promising yourself that you will never drink again?
Contrary to what many people think, alcoholism is not a feeble lack of willpower that can be cured by a few weeks of abstinence. Being ‘in denial’ can be fatal, but not before the bottle has taken away all your most treasured possessions – your relationships, your money, your job, your health and your self-respect.
Identifying drinking problems within myself and family/friends includes: Kids are missing out on school. not making work/appointments, money spent on alcohol instead of bills, drinking in the morning or needing alcohol to just get through the day, there are places that do offer help such as
